A YEAR IN PICTURES: DAY 267 and 268
I started my IV infusions today. The nurse got so upset with me that she said I had to stay home tomorrow and do my own. Don’t mess with me when I have a needle in my arm. Yeah, I got that nasty.
Ok, maybe not. I am doing it at home tomorrow though. There is this ball thingy (technical term) that contains the medicine. The line is still in my arm and will remain until Wednesday when it will be changed.
So tomorrow, I don’t have to go in and can do it from home. At first I was excited about this, but I am finding it very constricting. I can not bend my arm and do much. Which is a bad thing… or maybe a good thing. It might force me to rest like I am supposed to. But man that is hard sometimes.
I am taking 1000 mg of steroids a day. Usually you take 40 mg a day for 3 days when you get prednisone of pneumonia and such. But I suppose taking 1000 a day for five days orally might wreak some havoc on one’s stomach. So… IV it is.
For those who don’t know, this is for a multiple sclerosis relapse that I am in.
As for Allison. She made it through school today. She is exhausted. She made it until 2:00 before she needed to take nausea medication. So that was good.
Both my babies are asleep right now, at 5:00 PM. Some tired little ones. This is normal for Hannah. She likes a late afternoon nap.
Yesterday, we kinda stayed home and rested. I made a poy roast with potatoes and carrots. Then I decided we all needed some pampering so I made some cookies. Thus my picture of the day yesterday. A day of comfort including comfort cookies.

They are oatmeal and craisin cookies with walnuts. Sooo yummy.
Now to go join my girls in a nap… if I can. This medicine tends to make me rather nauseous.
