A YEAR IN PICTURES: DAY 264
Today as we were leaving to take Hannah to preschool and Allison to the doctor, Hannah suddenly ran back upstairs and said she would be right back.
She returned with these 3 stuffed animals. She said they were for Allison to take with her to the doctor’s office so she would not be scared.
This made me smile and reminded me that we will all get through this if we just keep loving each other this way.
A frustrating doctor appointment. I have not stopped all day and walking is extremely taxing.
I won’t go into it all, as there are really not any answers yet. Another doctor appointment next Wednesday.
Today has knocked me for a loop. To be honest I am not sure how I did today but I can already tell you, the next 12 hours will be %$#@. But I had to do it.
I have this weekend to get my house in order before the IV starts on Monday, (for my MS relapse.) They cannot do them in home so I have to drive 25 minutes there and back. Does not sound like much, but trust me, when your legs are in spasm, it is a long torturous drive.
And on top of that is dealing with Allison being sick, getting Hannah to and from pre-school, and doing these 2 hour infusions. (1 hour infusion then an hour wait, prep, and so on.)
The first day will be the longest as they make you stay to make sure there is not a bad reaction.
And to anyone with MS who have had these infusions, all the lovely side effects will be playing into it all for the 5 days of infusions too. I am still fighting that headache from a while back… fighting it bad and now lets add a steroid headache onto it.
For anyone that does not know, IV solu-medrol is basically liquid steroids. When you are sick with bronchitis or a serious infection thingy, (yes that is a technical, medical term) they give you 40 mg to take for 3 days, then 20 mg for 3 days then 10 mg for 3 days.
They will be giving me 800-1000 mg in 1 hour, And repeating this for 5 days. Oh yeah, it’s fun.
So how in the world can I even begin to get through all this? All this on top of this fatigue that makes eating a chore. How can I possible do this?
Simple. With love like this.
