“If you are diagnosed with flu or another respiratory tract infection, your odds of having a heart attack are five times higher during the three days after diagnosis than it would be otherwise.”
Let me get this straight. I am 5 times more likely to have a heart attack during the 3 days after being diagnosed with the flu?
So basically, if I get the flu, I should not go to the doctor for a diagnosis, because if I am diagnosed, the next 3 days I am in greater danger of a heart attack. If I never go to the doctor then I am never diagnosed and therefore safe.
